Deer Resistant Annual Plants

  The plants listed below are usually deer resistant (NOT DEER PROOF!). Unfortunately, the

only guarantee is that deer will eat anything (even stuff on this list) if they are hungry enough.

Often, when plants are right out of the nursery, they are tender and supple, making them more a

ppetizing to deer. We strongly recommend using deer repellent or deer netting until plants becomes more established. As the plants get older, they produce more lignins and tannins, making them more deer tolerant.
