Planting Sweet Peas
- Dig a trench 10 to 12 inches deep, mixing Dolomite into soil on
bottom of the trench

- Soak the seeds until they puff (about 2 hours)
- Inoculate the seeds following the directions on the package
- Plant the seeds in the trench
- When the plant is 4 to 6 inches tall, fill 2 inches in the
trench

- As the plant grows, fill the trench to half the height of the
plant until level with surface
- This method will encourage deep rooting and will keep sweet pea
plants short through winter. They will then shoot up in the spring
with beautiful blossoms
